Our new Should I Breed My Pet? page discusses the pros and cons of becoming a breeder. In short, it’s a serious avocation.

After all, lives are literally at stake. Perhaps the most important life that could be threatened is your pet’s.

Imagine the heartbreak you (and maybe your children) would suffer watching your pet die while whelping puppies. Imagine the sorrow when a pup is stillborn because the umbilical cord wraps around its neck. Or imagine the stress you would feel driving to your vet’s in the wee hours of the morning to have a Caesarean section performed on your pet because she simply ran out of steam and cannot whelp puppies without medical assistance. Yes, these things do happen.

Best to leave breeding to those who are devoted to this labor of love.

If nothing else than to help you appreciate the effort that goes into being a reputable breeder, visit our new page soon. It will also help you to appreciate the importance of Limited AKC Registration.

Until next time,

Mr. Dibs
